OVERVIEW:

A high-powered SMG which fires a pistol-caliber cartridge with rifle-like accuracy, making it extremely powerful yet lightweight and nimble, perfect for fast-moving Special Forces groups.

BACK STORY:

"Before we split off into our own group, I'd seen some of the Special Forces guys stop through the transport hub on their way to the edge of the wastes. They looked pretty serious with their sleek gear and their sub-machine guns. I heard a rumor from Rook that even after the government fell in that sector, they've been maintaining their search-and-destroy operations for years. People claim to have seen their ghosts, but me, I think they're alive and kicking, following out their last-received orders until there's nothing left to kill."

ATTACHMENTS

Scopes

RDS - A fast-aiming holographic reflex sight. The large aiming point is less accurate, but recovers from recoil extremely quickly.
ACOG - Magnified combat optic. The magnified reticle makes for pinpoint accuracy, but is also much more affected by recoil.
Ironsights - Built-in ironsights, balances accuracy and recoil recovery.

Barrel Attachments

Suppressor - A military-issue sound and flash suppressor, reduces the weapon's report

Magazines

Standard - A standard 30-round magazine.
FastMag - Two 30-round magazines coupled together for faster reloads.

AMMUNITION

The MP5A4 fires the 9x19mm cartridge, an extremely accurate cartridge at short to medium range, but with a moderate amount of bullet drop at long range.

CONTROLS

Weapon uses standard mouselook controls with arrow keys. The MP5A4 is set to fully automatic by default, but can be switched to semi-automatic or automatic burst-fire. Upon emptying the magazine, click again to reload, or use the reload gesture. You don't have to reload to swap ammo types. Firing continuously will degrade accuracy, pausing fire will gradually return accuracy to normal. Various attachments will affect performance aspects such as reload time, accuracy, and special abilities. You can also modify specific handling attributes such as fire rate, bullet velocity, and burst-fire style.

A number of quick keys are built into the weapon controls. Pressing left and right simultaneously will reload. Pressing left and right simultaneously with a full magazine will cycle to the next firing mode. Pressing forward and backward simultaneously will melee.
