-----------------------
Setup
-----------------------

1.) Rez as many Doorway objects as you need, one for each floor. (Shift+drag copy along the Z-axis works best)

2.) Align them vertically as best as possible (make sure X and Y coordinates are the same). Vertical distance does not matter.

3.) [Optional] Rez the Glass Shafts to fill the space between floors.

4.) [Optional] Use SL build tools to resize the glass shaft parts individually to stretch them to fill the gaps.
Touch the Glass Shaft after resizing to make the textures auto-align properly.

5.) Finally, rez an Elevator and press the button on a doorway to initialize it.

-----------------------
How to: Multiple elevator shafts
-----------------------

The Modular Elevator Kit supports multiple elevator shafts, with each their own elevator.
Simply use the build tools to edit the Object Description field within the Elevator and the Doorway objects.
Each will have a "Group: 1" text in the description field. Change the number to mark them as distinct elevator shaft.
Remember to do this in both the Elevator and all the Doorways in the new shaft.

-----------------------
Tips
-----------------------

- After changing the position of one or more existing floors, wait about 60 seconds after which the elevator will automatically recognize the new positions.

- The elevator will automatically register newly rezzed floors and unregister deleted floors. It may take up to a minute.

-----------------------
Configuration
-----------------------

Change the name/title of the notecards in the elevator and doorway to adjust the options.

[Elevator]
- *speed = 2.0 Controls the speed of the elevator in m/s. Default: 2.0
- *volume = 100 General volume control for elevator sounds, in percent. 100 = full volume, 0 = no sound. Default: 100
- *wait time = 5.0 How long to wait at each floor before moving on to the next queued floor, in seconds. Default: 5.0

[Doorway]
- *volume = 100 General volume control for door sounds, in percent. 100 = full volume, 0 = no sound. Default: 100

Wow.. Iexpected the installation to hit some kind of bugs, but - Nope! This elevator went in and worked flawlessly the first time. Amazing scripting and textures on the mesh. Whole set up took under 10 mins... and I'm slow building things!

From Rez in the 1st location on the ground floor at the coordinates (X,Y) where you will raise (Z) your Doorways (use Doorway + Bridge + Support Frame). Note that there are parts with similar names, but with different sizes (heights). You must use the parts (Doorway + Bridge 1.1 + Support Frame) with the standard height of your floor (same height between the Doorways of the Modular Vertical Kit) so that the top of the Doorway (same as the elevator floor) is at the same level as the floor of the floor. Carefully follow the SETAP procedures (1st to 5).

At the end, do each step of SETAP exactly and check each one of them before finishing. Start (Rez) the first Glass Shafts on the ground floor (Z=0), calling the elevator, from outside, on the <> key with the number of the first floor <1>. It will notify you that all the settings are ready. Note that all the floor numbers will automatically appear in order on the panel inside the elevator. Note: When you are going to Rez the elevator cabin, fit it into the coordinates (X,Y,Z) of the center of the Glass Shaft (it has to fit inside), don't forget to rotate the elevator in the (X,Y) plane so that the door is facing the opening of the Glass Shaft (same position as the Doorway).

I have the EOS station kit available from the in-world store. It has all the structures except domes and elevator. Much of the kit is in pieces, and I was initially frustrated, but after just a couple of dayis working with all the parts I splurged on the elevator, which is designed to work with the vertical kit that comes with the EOS station. I just deleted the stairs, put out the landings and filled in the visual blanks between floors, and finally the elevator. Text file has instructions. It worked great on the first try. If something changes, the elevator will stop again until reinitialized, so do that if any changes happen. 8 floors (landings) is more than adequate.

I love all things by isil but this elevator is A+++ so easy to setup customize, even on the laggiest sims I haven't seen it crap out. Every house I build I include floor holes sized for this. The design is futuristic + minimal enough it can work almost anywhere design wise.
