Update 1.2: Open versions of the top and bottom caps have been added to accommodate the ~isil~ Modular Elevator


The biggest and most versatile kit in the Sci-fi Modular series yet, with parts themed around vertical builds including stairs, ladders, and supporting structures.

This kit is compatible with the previous Sci-Fi Modular packs but can also be used standalone.

The Vertical Kit can be used to create single or multi-level hubs, towers, observation decks, habitat rooms, and much more.

Q: Is this kit compatible with the previous Scifi Modular packs?
A: Yes!

Q: Do I need the previous pack to use this?
A: No, while parts such as the windows and doors from previous kits fit wonderfully with this product, you can always connect this to prims or third-party products.

Q: Why do some parts (other than glass) appear translucent?
A: Please update to a more recent version of your viewer.

Q: The rezzed parts appear flat and grayish.
A: Advanced Lighting Model is recommended. If you cannot enable the setting, use FULL BRIGHT on the interiors.

Q: How do I align the pieces?
A: Use snap or align tools in the edit panel.

Q: What is the twisty green ladder prim for?
A: The prim allows you to walk up the ladder without using the common "sit-on-ladder" animation. See Tips below for usage instruction.

Q: Why are some included texture templates translucent?
A: Download and open with photoshop or gimp. The RGB channels store the actual colour texture while the alpha channel contains the glow map.


Tips
------------------------------------

- Rez a climbable ladder prim over the mesh ladder to make it climbable by walking up against it. The prim is set to 50% transparency for your convenience while setting up; adjust it to 100% transparency to hide it once it is properly aligned to the mesh ladder. You may also stretch the ladder prim vertically to increase or decrease climbable height.

- DO NOT link the ladder PRIM to any of the mesh parts or you risk skyrocketing the overall land impact.

- Some surfaces (eg. railings, exterior panels, glass) are tintable, use Select Face and colour them to your preference

- Build central hubs, habitat modules, observation decks, stairwells, and other constructions by hooking up the modules in different vertical and horizontal arragements.

- The "MVK Floor" and "MVK Floor for Ladder" parts are great for building single- or multi-level habitat modules.

- Add point lights to enhance the shiny materials effects.
