This is a retro 1950s-style entonox (nitrous/oxygen) analgesia/anesthesia machine. This type was commonly used during labor and delivery to administer nitrous to lessen the pain of contractions. It makes a great (and slightly old-fashioned) addition to any birthing center, hospital, or clinic.
The machine gives a choice of two masks - a hand-held full-face mask, or a nasal inhaler (suitable for dental use).
The menu-driven interface interacts with the included patient HUD and masks to make the wearer's eyes appear sleepy when the gas flow is turned on. It also includes a setting for pure oxygen when it's time to help the patient become more alert.
Because this machine can only deliver nitrous oxide and not other anesthetics, it only triggers the "sleepy" expression in the masks, not fully under.
