For property on the edge of the Void Sea
Sits up to 20 meters offshore
Automatically positions itself
40 meters long by 12 meters wide
Made out of 11 ice blocks
Each block a sculpted prim
Ice blocks rock in the waves
You can jump offsim onto them!
And jump from one block to another

Like other off-sim items, this ice floe takes advantage of property on the edge of sims that have no adjacent sim. Normally in this situation, SL paints ocean in these places where "There Is No There There" Some of us refer to this as The Void Sea. If you are fortunate enough to have shore-front property of this sort, it is possible to hang items (like this ice floe) out over the edge. This is sometimes called a sim extender. This makes your property seem larger and improves the view.

In addition, this Ice Floe allows you to jump onto it, even though it is up to 20 meters offshore. The ice blocks are bobbing in the waves, so your avatar has to balance in a precarious pose. Then by clicking on the ice blocks, you can jump onto and balance on one ice block after another. When you stand up, you jump back onto the edge of your sim. Up to 11 people can be jumping from one ice block to the next at once, even several standing on one ice block at the same time. However, as more and more people jump on the same ice floe, it will become more difficult to find a block that will let the next person on. You can install more than one Ice Floe, but jumping from one floe to the next will require right clicking and selecting the "Sit here" option.

Installing/Packing/Saving:
To make it easier to install, this Ice Floe arrives with all the prims packed on top of each other. The root prim (which stays onshore) figures out where the nearest sim edge is, rotates to face it and moves close to the edge. The Ice Blocks each know where they belong and move into position. Once in position, you can save the Ice Floe back into your inventory. However in this configuration it is sometimes hard to find a place where you can rez it again. To return the ice flow to the "packed configuration" select or edit it then "Reset Scripts In Selection" in the tools menu. The ice blocks will move back to the root prim. Save it to inventory like this, and it will unpack itself again when you next rez it. If you ever find the ice flow in this packed configuration when you didn't expect it, this means it has been accidentally reset. Just take it back into inventory and drag it back onto the ground, it will unpack itself offshore again.

Lag Issues:
To reduce lag, the ice blocks rock infrequently, only about once a second, and they rock at slightly different times to distribute the load on the sim. It is a non-physical object which is naturally low-lag.

Not just some prims floating in water. It has nice detail and action too it. I guess you can stand on them if you can make it out to them. Visually they are great ;)
