Grn Bamboo Blinds & Curtain Switcher

This item switches between Asian blinds and white curtains. Two textures are provided that combine to make a large image extending across two windows. The blinds on each window may be operated separated or linked together for simultaneous control.

The window treatment for each window requires only a single prim. Specifically, the item includes a script to switch between blinds and curtains for the window to which it has been applied. Click on the window after applying the prim and you are presented with a menu for six choices:

(1) Closed;
(2) Open;
(3) Tinted Glass;
(4) Curtains;
(5) Semi-Opaq;
(6) Opacity; and
(7) Reset

Closed shows blinds covering the window (main picture). Open shows a clear transparent texture that appears to be invisible for completely open curtains. Tinted Glass displays a dark tinted glass texture on the inside, while displaying an exterior glass block view. Curtains shows white semi-transparent curtains covering the window.

Semi-Opaq shows blinds with the slats rotated horizontally so that there is visibility between the slats. The color of the semi-opaque blinds is configurable by notecard.

Opacity allows you to adjust the transparency of the blinds, curtains, and tinted glass between four different levels. Each time Opacity is clicked, the transparency is increased until the maximum is reached whereupon it returns to the default setting of minimum transparency. There are four levels of opacity provided. Opacity affects only the view from the inside to the outside. The outside view remains the same. It is in effect a one-way window.

The item is configurable by notecard to be operable only by the owner or by anyone. Reset immediately returns the item to the minimum opacity level.

The prim in this item may be modified and copied. Only the script in the prim may be not be modified, but may be copied and the prim re-sized as you wish and copied to fit windows of different sizes.

Finally, copies of the blinds may be linked together on separate windows (edit the blinds, hold down the shift key and select another copy and then Control L). If you link the copies, clicking on one set of blinds will simultaneously operate the linked copy. It may also be linked with different blinds and curtains, for example it may be linked with Warm Wood Blinds on another window.
