- precision shape, no flickering or broken angles;
- LOD friendly, no distortion at distance;
- ANY regular texture compatible, no need special textures;
- shine-resistant, ideal metal reflective as at regular prims;
- IDEAL texturing, no "cross texturing stitches" at sculpt map;
It is FINAL product, not sculpt map.
Package includes:
- 1 (mod/copy/NO transfer) 2 prim sculpt bookshelves with lamp, any texture, scripted;
- 1 (mod/copy/NO transfer) 1LI mesh multiface bookshelves with lamp, any texture, scripted;
- read me.
Notes:
There are 2 versions inside. One is mesh, another is sculpt.
This is full modify bookshelves with scripted lamp working on touch. Original idea of design by Bruno Petronzi. You can find his creation in Google.
No. I did not make exact copy, just liked an idea that would works great with SL primitives. This is realization of mine idea, it is more simplified the original design.
This is hybrid package. It contains the same design lamp but in two versions. 2 prim and 1LI.
2 prim is 2 prim shine-resistant sculpt+regular prim sphere for lamp head;
1LI (it means ti takes only 1 prim from yours land) built with 2 prim too but uses MESH. so overall cost twice less then sculpt version.
Reason to make hybrid package is that not all still have mesh enabled viewers. For them probably 2 prim version suit better.
For those who already using any mesh enabled viewer will suit 1LI version for sure.
Both versions and sculpt and mesh using ANY texture to texture them. It means there are no any special texture was made so no wasting of region resources. and gives you numerous ways to suit other furniture in room.
Be sure you select face first (wood or metal part) to separately change texture. If you not familiar with this basics, ask yours more experienced friends how to texture different faces on prim (side on cube for example. it is absolutely the same).
1LI (mesh) version has one more difference it allows to set 2 different textures on bookshelves. Select face first to apply texture for wood part and another face for decoration part.
Script using inside custom written by me. Using only 7KB memory. Active only on touch.
You can change color of lamp light to any want. Just rename included in lamp notecard to the color vector you need. Table of colors is here http://lslwiki.net/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=color.
Caveats:
- Do not change building block type at sculpt version. otherwise shine-resistant will be broken. If you did that, just rez fresh copy from yours inventory;
- Do not use any phantom child script. it will brake shine-resistant on sculpt too;
- Mesh was tested at very low LOD 0.300, and works fine. But depends on distance it will reduce quality or disappears from yours field of view,, it is standard SL way to reduce loading of yours video-card of too far objects. You will not feel discomfort with it.
