Diligente's Translation is exactly how it sounds- "Diligent". A new class of ship the likes of which have not been seen in Second Life before, but will not radically change the current status of power of our fleets. As a "Cutter" she is basically a sloop prepared for war. Sporting two extra cannons facing aft, her hull has been made stronger and her rig more versatile. This is a small warship that bridges the gap between Sloop and Schooner.
Based on ships from Southern Europe (the city states of Italy, southern France, and even the Greek isles) the "tartana" style ships were a blend of the best of Europe and Arabia. They were the first European Ships to use the "lateen" style sail which allowed them to sail very close to the wind, yet were built heavily with an internal framework of ribs, battens, and fasteners for strength.

This is the "refit" model of Diligente'. Completely reworked from stem to stern, she is faster all around, takes up less Land Impact, and has many more details. This is the ship Diligente' should have been from the very beginning.
