Italian for "fortune" or "luck", Fortuna is a sloop classed, Medium sized, ship built specifically for SPD ship to ship combat.
Designed and constructed in a combination of Prim and Mesh, Fortuna brings a highly detailed, yet sim friendly design to the SPD tall ship battles that rage across so many pirate estates.
Each Seabag contains a sailing HUD, a Gun HUD (that can also be transferred to a gunner or two), a Repair Depot, and three versions of Fortuna. One is a highly detailed and fully functioning ship, another is a "lightweight" version that has had many of it's details trimmed down or omitted for sake of Land Impact allowances, and the third is a "moored" version that lacks the sailing rig and engine.
While a fast ship, Fortuna is not a particularly maneuverable one. She takes a longer path when turning, tacking, and gybing. In RL this would be due to her large rig that would need to be lowered, switched to the other side of the mast, and raised once more, but in SL it is mimicked by being slower to turn than most sloops. The upside is that she is faster than the other sloops on the market, that large and unwieldy rig catches every breeze that blows, pushing Fortuna along neatly.
Overall I found her Fortuna to be a fun ship tp design and build. I hope you enjoy sailing and fighting with her as much as I had in building. The sloop is my favourite class of ship and sorely under-rated and under-represented in SPD fighting.

Great Fast ship
I just bought that refit Fortuna version.
The sailing boat is fast and easy to operate with the hud provided.
Tou must keep speed before turning around but it works !
Xi is of great support in customizing your ship. Thanks for her quick answers.
Speedy energy fighter.
Ahoy Xi and thank you for releasing the long awaited Fortuna.
First off, this is a lovely little craft. I love the all in one design, the lines and the reliable sail behavior and the beautifully sculpted sails.
This craft seems best suited for hit and run tactics. Keep her fast, swipe and get out. Then turn around at a distance and get back in.
Worthy addition to the SPD combat fleet
I must congratulate the maker on her first ship, well made with a good attention to detail.
The hull is conventional prim meaning its easy to repaint. Huds are well designed and easy to use.
The name plate is a lovely touch and makes it easy to give the ship a new name.
