Fire Enhancer

This is a fire enhancer for fireplaces that have a weak fire, such as in Linden homes. It may also be used with other fireplaces as shown in the images. Some fireplaces have such weak flames that they are hard to see, especially at Second Life midday settings. This device can be used to enhance these kind of fireplaces with a single prim and touch on/off operation. It may also be used as a stand alone device.

Put the device in your existing fireplace. It is set to 50% transparency, so it will barely be visible. Click on it, and it will appear to become engulfed in an orange ball of fire, enhancing the flames already existing in the fireplace and creating the appearance of a strong fire. Click on it again and the orange ball of fire dissipates.

The device is modifiable so that you may adjust the size, geometry, and transparency according to your requirements. For example, you may wish to make it completely transparent or make it smaller and spherical.

The first two images show after and before screen shots of a fireplace with the device operating and the device turned off. The second two images show the same fireplace as before and after screen shots with the device turned off and turned on. The last two images show the device removed from the fireplace, with the device operating in one image and turned off in the other. As can be see, the device is pyramidal shaped and nearly invisible, which you may change as necessary for your specific requirements (the permissions for the object are copy and modify; script permissions are copy only).
