An important Rococo gilt frame in Louis XV style, with replaceable picture.

The original painting is the portrait of the Grand Duchess Yelena Pavlovna as a child by Jean-Louis Voille, an oil on canvas painted in 1792 and currently located in the Hermitage Museum.

Jean-Louis Voille (1744-1806) was a french painter, widely known as the court painter of the heir to the throne of Russia, Grand Duke Pavel Petrovich, from 1780 to 1795. He painted several portraits of Pavel, his wife Maria Fyodorovna, and other members of the Russian nobility, becoming one of the leading portraitists of the day in St. Petersburg.

Louis XV Style; gilded wood. 100% Mesh.

A picture on flat board. It is mesh, but the frame is not 3D. The frame is a PICTURE of a gilded Rococo gold frame on a flat board. Not worth the lindens.
