LR Lighthouse II LANTERN. NEW BEAM 64m long !!! Version v2-2011

19th Century Gaz Lantern for any lighthouse. Turns on/off light on sunset and sunrise, no more lighthouses lighting by day!

2011 edition: New beam, longer and brighter :)

Working gaz lantern with lamp control board, menu controlled and working main switch, can be turned ON/OFF/AUTO and change color and rotation sense and speed. 4 colors, 3 speeds (normal, double and half), normal/inverse rotation direction.
Lantern has working gears and machinery sound
There is a special version without beam for neighbors boundary problems and a low prim version (without gears).

Modes: AUTO, ON, OFF
(At RL lighthouses turns on at least 1 hour before sunset and turns off 1 hour after dawn.)

AUTO: Engages the ambient light sensor. Turns on/off the lantern smoothly adapting bright and glow to fit the ambient light, on sunset and sunrise, keeps it lightening when night and stops it when day time. Works with REGION TIME, it will not work if region time is fixed. You must use then the ON/OFF modes

ON: Always on as if midnight ambient light. Too much bright and glow for sunrise/sunset/day time.
Use this setting if your parcel is at a region where time is fixed to be always night.

OFF: Always off as if day time ambient light.
Use this setting if your parcel is at a day time fixed region.

Both ON/OFF modes use less script resources.

REZZING INSTRUCTIONS (IM Loco Rau if you need help)

Rez the control board and place it at the lighthouse. Touch it to bring up the menus:

Rezer menu.Select detailed or low prim, lantern will be rezed.

Clic "Abort" to derez all (lantern and base)
Select clean up to delete rezing child scripts from base and lantern when you are satisfied. The child scripts will delete themselves, remove the position/rotation information from their object descriptions, and remove the "[PackMe]" tag from their object names.
HIGHLY recommended. This will NOT delete the contents inside the rezer, you can change the lantern every time you want after cleaning up, only manually delete the old lantern and base and rez a fresh one.

Anyhow the rezing child scripts will delete by themselves about 30 min after the last time you change the position/rotation of the rezer, so don't worry very much for them...

Authorization menu. If you want to allow others avatars to change Lighthouse Lantern Settings. Can be set to Owner, Group, All, Avatar list with optional password if desired.

Settings menu. To change beam colors, rotation speed and sense, turn lighthouse lamp ON/OFF/AUTO
4 beam colors, 3 rotation speed, normal/inverse rotation direction.
ON/OFF modes are for sims with fixed sun (always day or always night)
If your region have normal day/night time i encourage the use of the AUTO mode for better results

You can use the control board Main Switch to change ON/OFF/AUTO modes, clic at it.
If you derez the control board away, this will not affect the lantern work, it will continue working with the actual settings (mode, color, rotation, authorization) but you will NOT be able to change them.
