Louis XVI console table of finely carved lacquered and gilded wood. The Black and Gray marble top of rectangular shape. The console is decorated with openwork of a frieze of interlaced belt, flowers and foliage, resting on four tapered legs resembling a tapering Roman column or quiver.

By the mid-18th century, the ornamental schemes that had prevailed in the French decorative arts for several decades were being challenged. That movement, which was led by scholars and collectors, was influenced by the extraordinary archaeological discoveries made in the ancient cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, near Naples. Over the years, a handful of collectors, artists and artisans, went on to impose a new style that was directly inspired by Greek and Roman antiquity. Their ornamental vocabulary, comprising scrolling, oak leaf garlands, and flaming antique vases, is characteristic of the finest Parisian creations of the late 1760s and the early portion of the following decade. It was inspired by the drawings of contemporary designers, including Jean-Charles Delafosse.

You can copy the console to make a double or triple one.
You can also change the original Black and Gray marble top with marble of your choosing.

The bust of Farinelli and the Porcelain items are not included and can be bought separately in my shop.

You can adjust the intensity of the shadows beneath the console by selecting the face of the shadow and lowering the transparency to your liking.

Lovely

I put two together and it is seamless joining the legs to give it the look of a longer table, not two separate ones.
