Paravent "a l'Anglaise" -C&G-

A paravent designed by Canabas at the end of the 18th century was made in mahogany and perforated in the lower part, with gilt brass mounts and covered in an aquamarine silk lampas with arabesque motifs in raw white.
on the other side in a white and blue square cloth.

Used well to provide privacy, create more intimate spaces, or prevent drafts from blowing out the candles in the middle of a game of cards, folding screens became an indispensable piece for any room in an elegantly decorated house.
