Thank you for your interest in Merlin Machines Potomac Class Runabout.

STAR DRIVES
The Potomac Class Runabout is equipped with an advanced M/AM Reactor and a Transwarp/Quantum Slipstream Drive as part of the copy/mod aft compartment set. There are warp and slipstream effects as well as effects for the Coaxial Jump Drive which is capable of jumping the ship anywhere within region plus about 10m into the surrounding regions. Objects can't exist a little above 4000m so a jump above that may cause the ship to derez.

Animation effects for Warp, Transwarp, and Coaxial Jump drives are played on the inside of a sphere that encompasses the runabout. Shield and Cloak effects are animated on the outside of the sphere. The ship is still pilot-able with the sphere in place.

OFFENSIVE CAPABILITY
There are 3 types of sound and particle effect weapons: forward-mounted Standard and Pulsed Phaser cannons, as well as forward and rear Micro Quantum Torpedo launchers. (Because the weapons are only particle effects they may not reliably display depending on viewer settings and region performance).

UNIVERSAL HUD
Use of the HUD is necessary to access most features of the ship.

COAXIAL JUMP DRIVE
The Coaxial Jump Drive will allow you to quickly move the ship around within the region. Touching the control will open a text window and request you enter an XYZ coordinate to jump to (in the form X,Y,Z). You can also activate the jump by entering "jump to X,Y,Z" into the open chat (Within the region up to around 4000m. You can actually fudge the X & Y positions by 10m or so into the adjacent regions)

ALERT SYSTEM
The Alert system has Red, Yellow, and Blue Alerts and a green All Clear button.

THROTTLE
In the Impulse and Flight modes the ship uses a throttle to control speed with the PgUp and PgDn keys to increase or decrease speed. Thruster mode uses the forward and backward arrow keys.

WORKING TRANSPORTER
When the ship is too big for a shuttle bay, it is equipped with a site-to-site transporter capable of ship-to-shore, ship-to-ship, and ship-to-station transport. You can also add landmarks to the transporter pad to allow easy access to other regions.

CAMERA VIEW
You may choose one of seven different camera views. Aft is nearly directly behind the ship for tight spaces with little vertical clearance. Above (default) is behind and a little above the ship. Under allows you to check clearance underneath the ship. Over gives you a view directly above the ship. Very useful for precision landing on shuttle pads. Inside moves the camera inside the ship slightly behind the pilot. Finally, Port and Starboard place the camera slightly above and to either side of the ship with a good view of the outside of the hatches.

SUB SYSTEMS
The HUD has controls to light up parts of the ship. The Main Power control powers up the Flight Deck's consoles and monitors. The Engines control powers up the toroidal nacelle, Impulse manifolds, the main deflector and dual Quantum Slipstream emitters.

There are 3 "vertical" controls which will raise or lower the ship when in Thruster or Impulse modes. The "Land" control is for ships with landing gear. The Potomac Class Runabout has a Contact Avoidance System running along it's keel that keeps the ship from completely contacting a surface below the ship.

I got to ship to be a little different from the usual Trek ships and it looks prefect for what I wanted to modify. How ever the ship has several short comings and the maker hasn't responded to the questions I have. The big issue with this ship is that you can't shut it down. At least I can't figure it out. It has an interior in the back but that seems to disappear when you start the engines. No where in the instruction or on the hud does it say how to shut the ship off and then the interior re-rezzes. Or does it? I have no idea.
