Altitude HUD. The plane will either automatically rotate and climb or descend and level to the altitude you choose.
The Socata has a new Automatic Landing system with a customizable notecard integrated into the HUD. You can either land at the 30+ airports listed in the HUD or add your own.
Once you choose your destination the plane will automatically descend to that airport. The system controls rate of descent and speed, you simply need to steer the plane left or right.
4 Automatic Take Off modes - Left / Straight long field & short field/ Right
Built-in automated wind system.
Selectable wind direction HUD.
Independent rudder control for correcting yaw.
2 Flight modes - Normal mode & Cruise mode
2 Flap modes, normal and fast sink rate.
Articulated flaps and nose gear.
To operate the wind system type "ww" (without parenthesis) in chat and then toggle the wind direction by typing "w" repeatedly until you find the wind direction you want. The wind direction is also shown in chat.
The plane will now fly as though there's a wind force on it. The wind system is active and changes force depending on the plane's orientation to the selected wind direction. If the wind is coming directly at the front of or the back of the plane there will be a change in speed. If the wind is coming towards the plane at a 45 degree angle there will be a moderate change in speed as well as a cross-wind/sideslipping effect. And if the wind is coming directly at the side of the plane there will be a maximum amount of cross-wind/sideslipping effect.
The force of the wind is also affected by the airplane's speed.
Chat Commands:
s - Start & Stop
e or Pg. Up - Acceleration
c or Pg. Dn - De-acceleration
f - Flaps
ff - Flaps for faster descent
a - Auto level
dd - Door
c - Second camera view
cc - Third camera view
fs - Phantom mode - allows you to fly through anything... Just don't fly through SL terrain!
copilot - Typing "copilot" in chat will allow the copilot to control the plane.
pilot - Typing "pilot" in chat will allow the pilot to resume control of the plane.
ww - Wind - starts wind function
w - Toggles wind direction
sl - Strobe lights
bl - Beacon lights
nl - Nav lights
ll - Landing lights
h - Turns hover text on and off, you have to change the speed of the plane for the change to take effect.
z - Heavy Gravity - allows you to fall like a rock, in case you're being pursued or running really long on the approach.
**This plane has a Texture Changer HUD**
Click on the Airplane and you can choose from 5 exterior color and texture themes and 4 interior color and texture themes.
The plane is modifiable and the texture maps are included for the fuselage, tail and rudder.

A very good Plane !!!
Pretty good crosser.
Good behaviour.
It looks nice.
You are not forced to use a HUD to control it. Chat commands are enough.
One of my 2-3 favorite civilian plane in SL.
Fantastic!!!
A very well made, very practical and easy-to-use airplane! Highly recommended!
another aircraft from Java Designs.
TBM850 is world fastest single engined Turboprop transport in Real Life and Second Life. There's have a lot of features. But not limited to flight script. is Very Nice thing to fly. Easy to Cross Between sims and There's very best aircraft at this date. And This plane are worth of my money and more enjoy than older one. by EG Aircraft.

Fun to fly
this is a great starter or grid flyer. Handles nice and the scripts make smooth sim crossings
Great Plane With Unique Features
I was a little sceptical about the auto takeoff and landing thing after hearing about it, but after a demo, I bought one.
It's a nice looking aircraft for the most part and is paintable. The detail level of the model is ok though not incredible by any means. The stairs flipping up into the aircraft cabin when the door is closed is a nice touch. The instrument panel is non-functional and is a simple flat texture.
Dismissing the auto functions and the simulated wind, this is a really nicely flying aircraft. It's a bit faster than I'm used to for a plane of this type, but not so much that it's hard to handle. It is responsive to the controls without feeling twitchy. The controls are pretty standard and include an independent rudder. It does have provision for a copilot to take the controls though it's not an automatic handoff. Stall behavior is simulated. Sim crossings have been very reliable.
The automatic takeoff and landing functions work surprisingly well. You get set up on the runway, tell it whether you want a straight away long or short takeoff or if you want a turn included. The turn is done in the first sim crossed after liftoff, and it includes raising the gears. More impressive is the landing function. You choose the airport, line up on the runway and the plane handles the glideslope. You do have to be within a reasonable range above the runway altitude for this to work, but given that, anyone can make a nice looking landing.
The simulated wind means you have to compensate for it to fly a given course and for landing you use the rudder to crab into the wind. It's use is optional.
Be forewarned that there is no flight instrument hud included. I have a prefered one I generally use with all my aircraft so it wasn't a problem for me, but could be an added expense for others. The maker is very friendly and willing to answer questions and offer demos.
If you like small single engine aircraft, this is one you'll definitely want to try out.
Awesome Plane!!!
This is an amazing plane. A must have in your arsenal of planes. You might not fly your other ones though. This plane handles so well. The wind feature works just like described. I love the way the plane can stall at 50% throttle with the flaps down. Also the fact that you can trim the rudder. Making landing a very pleasurable experience. I am very glad I took the chance in buying one of Java's planes. I now own all 3 and waiting for his next project...
