Starbase Power Station [63 prim] Version 1
This ultra hi-tech Power Station completes your starbase and comes with 5 different power cores for you switch between. It has multiple levels, internal rooms, huge external walkway, a menu-controlled core generator, built-in inter-level teleports - and all the special effects you could want.
You get:
- Starbase Power Station with FIVE levels
- Two upper deck levels
- External maintenance corridors and tunnels
- FIVE different power cores included
- Menu-controlled core selector
- You can power all the cores off and on
- Spectacular effects - lights, sounds, sparks. smoke
- Add your own power cores
The Power Station is an Exosphere starbase module and is fully compliant with other Exosphere modules. You can easily add it to your existing starbase or use as a stand-alone module. You can even use it on the planetary surface of your sim. Power up your sci-fi role-play beyond what you thought was possible!
Power Cores included are:
Core 1 - Pulsar Plunge Column
Core 2 - Quark Spin Router
Core 3 - Electron Induction Cascade
Core 4 - Meson Phased Loop
Core 5 - Black Hole Field Generator
Power Station Core.
The entrance tunnel through leads you to the upper deck of the Power Station. It's suspended above a huge chamber with upper and lower level areas. At the rear you'll see a big control panel. Touch this to get a menu of the different power cores you can select. Each core has an off-state and on-state. The chamber has a overhead walkway with partial glass flooring so you can inspect the core from above. There's also two control stations that you can stand in to monitor the behaviour of the core. They both have banks of control screens. Finally, there's a Master Control Station that the Chief Engineer can use to oversee the Power Station operations.
There's several locations underneath the floor of the Power Station chamber with rugged maintenance teleports available to take you down through the sub-levels. Selecting a new core automatically removes the old core for you. You can manually remove all traces of a core by choosing the "Deconstruct" menu option, leaving the core target area empty. You can even add your own power cores to the rezzer, if you want.
Teleports to Lower Levels.
The Maintenance Teleports can transport you deeper into the rooms inside the vertical shaft of the Power Station. Just touch the pad base to generate a quantum beam and then touch the beam to jump to the next level. All the Power Station levels have control panel sub-units built into them. The lowest level (Sub-level 4) even has all-round panoramic windows and an express teleport to take you all the way back up to the to top level in one quantum jump.
R o l e . P l a y e r . P r e c a u t i o n s :
1. If you deconstruct the teleports while someone is working down in the lower decks, they'll be marooned down there until the teleports are back in place again. They won't be pleased when they finally get back..
2. The Quark Spin Router power core is prone to occasional leaks. Once it's turned on, you'll see it occasionally spraying out powerful energy rays for a few minutes. Make sure you're behind cover while they're being emitted.
3. The Power Station Sub-Level 3 is rather cramped and you may need to get your cam closer when you teleport down there.
4. Don't stand inside the core target rezzing area while a power core is being constructed! (That's the square with the yellow striped edge). You may get flattened - or worse.

Good standalone station and addition to existing one
I'm an addict when it comes to buying new modules from Exosphere, so when I saw screenshots of something that looked like a full station (without reading the print) I bought it with curiosity.
I was happy to see that my wish to a standalone station like module came about. We plan on leaving this module up as a standalone station on our sim.
I was also happy that it has the usual Exosphere attachment system, so it will be easy to expand when we want to.
By default you have to derez the power core to rez the teleporter to the lower levels. I'll probably be modifying them so they are permanent teleports on the station.
All and all, I'm very happy.
