The mesh object of terrain can be easily made in the in-world.

Absolutely okay
It's actually supposed to be there to form your property as a small diagram.
I used it to build over my ugly land texture. Yes, that costs a lot of land impact. On the second attempt I was able to reduce the land impact to around 50 LI. But I will do more. Download the dea file and open it in Blender. Reduce the vertices and cut out everything that you don't absolutely need. When uploading, reduce the LOD values and change the size ratio. then there will be no bad surprises if the meshland needs to be enlarged.
I previously had another tool that first worked with Skulptis. You have to set up scanner and then you can download the skulpti textures. But I have serious problems with sculptis. you can also download mesh. but I have seams everywhere that are visible and don't fit properly.
With this scannerframe you simply pull the frame to the right size and press on it. Answer two questions and you're done. Easy and intuitive to use. ( but you should know how to use Blender! )
.
Very happy with this. It works perfectly if you know how to upload mesh and have unlocked that ability.
Tip: Change the scale to 10 in the 'upload options' tab.
This tool works flawlessly.
Not sure what brain slug is chewing away some of these other reviewers parietal lobes, but this tool let me make meshes of specific parts of my sims terrain so I could texture it differently. You just need to understand how mesh works and understand how to use the uploader. Also, if the LI of the 1 to 1 terrain meshes is to high, use 1/2 or 1/4 :P
This tool is amazing, it works great, it is nice and fast at generating the meshes, and if you can wrap your head around how to upload meshes then this thing will let you make mesh overlays of your sim terrain no problem.
Also, if the meshes are "tiny" then learn to use the uploader! You can adjust a meshes upload scale so it uploads at the right size, try 10.000 for size.
FALSE ADVERTISMENT
IT says Full sim and 1/4 well they are not telling you what it actually does . here is what this does
it does NOT make a ground for a full sim or for a 1/4th parcel or a 1/16th parcel it only TAKES the ground OF a full sim or OF a 1/4th or OF 1/16th and puts it ALL into a prim that can be MAX size 64x64... so there for ONLY way its usefull is if u wanna take a large scale and make it TINY ... They could of at least made a prim that u can size and place over the area of land u want to generate and then it would be useful but ofc in end this is a WASTE of lindens .
Completely useless do not buy
I tried to create a simple land cover on a 1/4 sim and this was useless.
depends on what size land you need to copy
works just how it says, expect to spend some L uploading test models because the only English directions are basic... the complete manual is in Japanese, and if you're low on prims on your land, don't bother unless you're ok trying the upload at a sandbox and working with that.
I got this to make a accurate scaled model of my home land parcel to build a new house for it in the sky.... I can still do that, but will need to upload smaller sections of the land and piece them together to make the model the right size. In other words, if your land is larger than 64 square meters, then this isn't a "push button get land duplicate" solution. But it does work and has options in the menu before you create the DAE file. If your land is 64x64 or smaller, then this a good product to use for getting an easy mesh copy of the terrain.
