Q: Is this kit compatible with the Modular Scifi Room Kit?
A: Yes it is compatible.
Q: Do I need the ~isil~ scifi kits to use this?
A: No! The doors are standalone and can be used with your other builds.
Q: The parts appear flat and grayish.
A: Advanced Lighting Model is recommended. If you cannot enable the setting, use FULL BRIGHT in interior builds.
Q: How do I align the pieces?
A: Use snap or align tools in the edit panel.
Q: How do I configure the door?
A: To configure the VIP/Admin/Group/Banlist, see the REGISTRY notecard in the object inventory. To use admin menu, touch the "Admin" button on the keypad

Nice, but don't fit other ISIL builds
These doors have a nice texture, animation, and sound... but don't fit the octagonal doorways seen in nearly all ISIL modular builds. I tried a few fixes unsuccessfully, then asked Beth Delaunay (isilmeriel) for help. She replied overnight that "SL does not allow you to easily edit a single axis for a linkset. You would have use edit link and then resize each part (door, frame) separately." In other words, don't buy these doors for use with other ISIL products. My hope is that Beth will note this in the product description, and maybe someday redesign these to fit the modular building sets.

So far, I LOVE IT!
I'm a new builder, learning as I go, and this door was literally as easy as dropping, positioning (edit linked> resize frame > resize door), and then editing the door, viewing content, opening the registry notecard and replacing the default number code with one of my choosing, then Linked it to the build and done! Though, I did also use the "GROUP" option, which was also as easy as instructions said, adding the unquoted word to that registry notecard. <3 I even love how each color door was its own item in the folder. I wasn't sure about spending that much on a door, but I'm quite glad I did, it's perfect!

Fits the scifi room kit perfectly if you use the 1M top door spacer.Not too hard to resize if you want a wider door either.
