Tropical Creations New Free swimming OFFSIM Orca is the first truly free swimming OFFSIM Orca in Second Life! Now you can bring your offsim ocean to life! This Offsim Orca amazingly does all that our on sim Orca does but does it OFFSIM! It will randomly swim fully offsim, partially offsim or fully within the sim within her settable swim area. It can even be set to swim at altitude above the Linden ocean.
This remarkably realistic Orca has been created to mimic RL Orcas in the wild with the tricks they do naturally. However, unlike RL it will stay mainly near the surface in SL so it can be seen and its RL orca songs can be heard.
The Orca marking behind the dorsal fin is called a saddle patch. In RL, these are unique to each Orca, like a human finger print. It is impractical in SL to create unique skin markings for every Orca, however you have the option of choosing any of three different skins with different saddle patches.
Male Orcas have a big dorsal fin and females have smaller ones. You have the option to set the gender to male or female. The gender and skin are set randomly when rezzed or reset.
Our normal on-sim baby Orcas will NOT recognise this Orca as a prospective parent as it cannot follow her offsim, but do not despair, we have created an offsim baby Orca to go with this offsim adult Orca and it's available now, see the link below!
Depending on the location of your land in the sim, Orca provides auto setup buttons that set its swim area offsim automatically. (ie: Auto north, Auto south, Auto east, Auto west). You can also set or modify the swim area as needed to avoid other items you may have off your sim or to include some of your on sim ocean as part of her allowed swim area. Once the swim area is set, you can start orca swimming by pressing START from the.menu.
Note that the minimum swim area permitted is 16m x 16m. The maximum is dependent on the size of your land but could be up to 255.9m wide x 44m deep.
Other functions of the orca include:
- Owner or Group menu access
- Set the swim area & water level
- Rename and show name in float text above the Orca
- Set the Gender
- Set the Skin
- Set the frequency of Tricks or Sound
- Splashes & Animations, turn On / Off
- Get Help or Reset

I bought various products from Crissi and they are great. Especially the customer service. I exchanged non-off sim dolphins and an orca against the off sim-versions. Crissi was really helpful and supportive :) So your getting great products (they are really cute, a little bit difficult to setup, but Crissi would even support you there, if you can´t figure it out...). Excellent after sales support is not so common these days and Crissi loves what she does and delivers :)

Honestly such a neat concept! Would be cool if there was an offsim boat that you could ride on (maybe off sim coral and other sea creatures for scuba diving? :3 :3)
