This editable script is designed to place on a prim that will act as a lamp's light bulb or beam of light. It will automatically turn on the light when the sun goes below the horizon and turn off the light when the sun comes up, modifying prim parameters like light, transparency and glow accordingly.

You can tweak the values for those parameters to suit your needs and then further customize the script to change more parameters like light and prim colors.

This script is meant to be used in automatic lamps that require no manual light switching. If you need a script that supports automatic and manual switching I suggest you try the scripts included in my Dual Mode Desktop Lamp. See related items below.

does not work as advertised.
had a lot of problems reading a very..."simple" script. was more trouble than it was worth actually and i have no problems reading scripts or "dropping a script in a prim". this was just all wrong. hate i spent 50L for a 10L job!

Works Perfectly

The script works just as advertised, and is completely configurable. I use it to turn off my lamps during the day. My only complaint is that there's no documentation at all. I had to look up the method parameters on the LSL wiki to set the values I wanted.
