Furious Sim Scan is a parcel access radar HUD. It helps you see ban lines, rez zones, and parcel boundaries in the region around you. The HUD displays a hovertext map as you move through each region and uses color cues to warn you about danger or opportunity.
The display
• A text map of the region ahead is displayed.
• Each 4m block is marked by a letter or symbol indicating:
_ Public access land, Linden-owned
o Open access land, privately-owned
r Open rez parcel
? Outside region
B/b Banlines enabled - no access
G/g Group access only
A/a Access list only
Overfly
Second Life ban lines extend up 50m from the land/water surface.
It is safe to "overfly" such parcels above this height.
A lowercase letter (b, g, a) indicates you could overfly the parcel at your current height.
An uppercase letter (B, G, A) means you are currently too low to pass that point safely.
Warnings/Alerts
While you are in a safe area, the text is displayed in white.
If you overfly a restricted area at a safe height, the text is shown in yellow.
If you enter a restricted area below the safe height, the text is shown red.
Efficiency Features
• The HUD is designed to conserve sim resources whenever possible.
• While active, the HUD updates 3 times each second for a responsive display.
• If you are stationary, the display remains static and is not redrawn.
• If you remain stationary, the display switches off and the update rate slows.
