Red Sails Shipyard is pleased to present the Mystique as an Age of Sail ship for SPD enabled estates and sailing regions. The Mystique is based on a 1750's French Polacre "Le Requin" ... yes, the Requin was converted to a Polacre late in its life! Like the full size ship, the RSS Mystique keeps the swoopy cebek hull and adds square sails in place of lateen sails on the main and mizzen masts. With the addition of square sails, the performance is tweaked to reflect similar SPD enabled ships sailing in Second Life.
Captains will be pleased with the smooth sailing characteristics with quick all around speed. The heavy menacing broadside helps offset a slightly slower turning ship that feels solid and massive. Downwind sailing is a true joy with the added square sails at the cost of some upwind speed.
