Details

The Sky Truck is the work-horse for transporting heavy freight around colony settlements on those new planets. You can throw any cargo onto the flat bed of these trucks and transport it safely across the skies to your destination.

Features include:
- Very easy to fly
- Four anti-grav engines
- Spinning fan-drives
- Seats for two passengers
- Pilot canopy (opens & closes)
- Animated loading ramp - lowers and extends
- Working lights, sounds & particle effects and smoke
- B O N U S : Cargo generator is built into the truck

Flying the Sky Truck:
Simply right-click the pilot seat, select "seat". Once seated, you'll hear the four powerful anti-grav engines engage and you'll begin to hover gently. You'll also see the four turbo-fans begin to rotate. Now, you can use PgUp and PgDn keys to climb and descend, the forward/backward arrow key to adjust the speed, and the left/right arrow keys to steer. Watch out for fumes that stream from the fan's vents as you fly around. The transparent canopy bubble can be opened or closed at any time by touching it or you can type "open cab" or "close cab" if you are near enough.

Security:
You can park it safely outside a truckstop without worrying that someone is going to jump in and fly off in it. The Sky Truck's controls are bio-locked to the owner's DNA so you're the only one permitted to fly it.

Landing:
Once you have landed, you can simply stand up and the engine will cut out automatically and the built-in stasis field will lock the truck in position. Make sure you have opened the canopy before you get out of your seat or you'll bang your head!

Cargo.
The Sky Truck can transport almost any object that's been set to "physical" as long as it's not too heavy. There's a loading ramp at the rear which (on touch) will automatically roll back and extend in length to allow passengers and vehicles to ascend the ramp and onto the flatbed. You can also rezz any physical object in the back of the truck for transport. Remember, cargo will be loose and may move around in the back of the truck, so be careful as you're transporting it around. And don't overload it - if you can't take off, you may need to shed some cargo before you can attain lift.

Once you are moving, you'll see gas fumes trailing from the four anti-grav engines. This is perfectly normal. They'll stop when you come to a halt.

Built-in cargo generator.
If you touch the grate between the passenger seats (behind the pilot) you'll produce a pulse of light and a single packing crate will materialize and drop onto the back of the truck. You can repeat this as many times as you like. These crates only last for 10 minutes then they delete themselves - so don't worry about losing them if they go spilling out over the sides when you're flying around with a full load.

Now you're ready to transport your cargo across the skies. There's rear-facing seats for two passengers, so they can keep an eye on the freight as you fly.

You can have fun races around an air obstacle course, flying through hoops and under bridges. Start with a few crates on your truck and the more crates you lose over the side, the more penalty points you get. But remember, only the expert truckers can carry large loads without spilling them. So get some practice in before you attempt to show your new skills off.

Airborne Parking:
You can park the Sky Truck up in the air, so you can draw level to an unloading bay at the top of a high tower. Just stand up and the engines will automatically disengage while the anti-grav stabilisers will keep you rock steady for as long as you like. The extendible rear ramp will also work if you need it. You can even step onto the flat back of the vehicle and help with the unloading.

Adjustments:
It's all copy and mod, so you edit the vehicle, including changing the textures. You can manually adjust and edit the position of the seat and the steering control to best fit your avi's shape.

Here's a few Pro Tips to astound onlookers and passengers...

1. You can slide left/right sideways as you fly by holding the SHIFT key down then pressing the left/right arrow keys.

2. You can unload all your freight in one go by lowering your rear ramp while hovering low, and then edging the truck gently forwards. The freight will slide right off the back and roll down the ramp as you travel forwards.

3. If you fly fast enough, you can do spectacular banking turns without losing your freight over the side as you tilt.

These craft are all scaled perfectly for use with the Exosphere Modules such as the Landing Terminal and the Landing Bay.
